Let yourself be carried away by g
Service Description
La Guajira is a place where the desert and the sea embrace, where the wind whispers ancestral stories, and Wayuu culture beats strongly in every corner. In this three-day journey, you will discover the magic of a land where nature and tradition envelop you in an unforgettable experience. The journey begins in Manaure, home to salt flats that shine under the sun like endless mirrors. Here, the Wayuu have harvested salt for centuries, turning it into the region’s “white gold.” Then, we delve into Uribia, Colombia’s Indigenous capital, where you’ll learn about the history, customs, and profound meaning of the Wayuu community, guardians of these lands. From there, we head to Cabo de la Vela, where the desert meets the Caribbean in a dance of contrasts. We’ll climb Pilón de Azúcar Hill, a sacred site for the Wayuu, where you can gaze upon the vast ocean. Later, we’ll relax on the beaches of Dorada, Arcoíris, and Ojo de Agua—small paradises with crystal-clear waters. The day ends with a dreamy sunset at the Cabo de la Vela Lighthouse, where the sky burns in golden and violet hues. The second day takes us to the northernmost tip of South America: Punta Gallinas. Along the way, we’ll explore pristine bays and the Wind Farm, a symbol of harnessing La Guajira’s relentless winds. Then, we’ll witness the natural spectacle of the Taroa Dunes, where golden sand slides down to touch the sea. From the Punta Gallinas Lighthouse, you’ll feel the vastness of the world like never before. Finally, on the third day, we visit the Mayapo Beaches, a hidden Eden of white sands and turquoise waters where you’ll rest before returning to Riohacha, closing a journey filled with adventure, culture, and unforgettable landscapes.
